Asics Gel-Fastball 2 Women’s Court Shoes
Get aggressive grip and lateral stability as you zoom around the court, in the Asics Gel-Fastball 2.
Breathable Mesh Upper
Mesh uppers will encase each foot in breathable comfort. Perforations in the fabric increase airflow; creating a better, healthier environment for your feet to thrive in. The seamless construction means you get an irritation-free fit, because we know how rubbing and blisters can ruin your day. RhinoSkin overlays surround the shoe to maintain durability and improve stability through lateral movements.
Abrasion and tear-resistant, the synthetic leather protects against scuffing and foot drag but retains flexibility for unhindered moves on the court. Two layers of memory foam line the heel collar, moulding to the athlete’s heel to create a Personalised Heel Fit; this anchors the foot to the midsole and reduces in-shoe slippage for smooth, friction-free exercise.
A removable EVA sockliner exists as an extra layer of anatomical comfort. SpEVA resides in the midsole to provide resilient cushioning and underfoot comfort. Light in weight and low in profile, the EVA/rubber blend uses its close-to-the-ground, adaptive feel to enhance proprioception. Sitting beneath the SpEVA platform, and complimenting its bouncy nature, are the rearfoot and forefoot GEL Cushioning Systems. They work to reduce shock during the impact phase; sparing your joints as you leap and land onto unforgiving court surfaces, and allowing for a smooth transition to mid-stance.
Impact Guidance System Technology is a technical design, based on the philosophy of the human body, that allows the foot to perform a more natural heel-to-toe movement. This technology is based on 3 principles: Contact, MidStance and Propulsion. Asics’ design philosophy employs linked componentry to enhance the foot’s natural gait from heel strike to toe-off. A Trusstic System has been implemented to reduce the weight of the sole unit and link the forefoot and rearfoot; it increases the shoe’s torsional rigidity and provides the wearer with a stable platform to hit from.
A non-marking AHAR+ (Asics High Abrasion Resistant rubber) outsole completes the Fastball 2; three times more durable than Asics’ conventional rubber, it is strategically placed in high-stress areas to supply excellent grip without compromising the shoe’s permanence. The outsole extends to cover the toes, medial and lateral sides of the shoe – again increasing its durability and protecting against foot drag. A pivot point accommodates multi-directional movement across the court.
